Archbishop Adrian Józef Galbas, previously the Metropolitan of Katowice, has been appointed the new Archbishop Metropolitan of Warsaw. The decision, announced by the Apostolic Nunciature in Poland, follows the resignation of Cardinal Kazimierz Nycz, which was accepted by Pope Francis.
